Buchtal: performance pays off

Numerous companies recruit trainees with the prospect of later employment. The Buchtal ceramic tile factory at Schwarzenfeld proves that this does not have to remain an empty phrase: seven young people are seamlessly transferred into permanent employment there - a visible proof that commitment and the will to perform pay off already at an early age, as all seven have recently finished their training with very good or good grades. In the craft trades, training could be shortened by six months, and in some cases the government of the Upper Palatinate even honoured outstanding achievements.

In detail: Christian Sperl and Andreas Wittmann, electronics technicians for industrial engineering, are taken on in the electrical department, David Franz, Adrian Götz and Georg Steinbauer, industrial mechanics (maintenance) in the metalworking department (maintenance) and Sabrina Leitl and Ines Schönberger, industrial clerks, in the internal sales department for domestic and export sales respectively.

This important step on the career path was symbolically honoured in the middle of July during a small meeting in the Buchtal factory exhibition. The isntructors Jürgen Hölzl, Tim Nößner and Andreas Wittmann were correspondingly proud of their protégés. In addition, Thomas Betz (Factory Manager), Elfriede Ertl (Head of Personnel Department), Karl Mailbeck (Chairman of the Works Council) and Rüdiger Pflaumbaum (Head of Internal Sales Services) did not miss the opportunity of taking part in the ceremony in order to welcome the young employees and to express their respect for their above-average performance. As already in the past, qualified training continues to have high priority in Buchtal.
